About Me

so, here i am!

you’re probably on this site for several reason…mainly one. you’re visiting my blog to read updates on my life as i work at Camp Bethel. since April of 2008 i have been working at Camp Bethel as Mission’s Staff. i have been helping with a little bit of everything. i have become a jack of all trades in a way … working on electrical work, landscaping (mowing grass, lol), wood work, kitchen help, creating documents for camp in the office …well, just a little of everything. wherever i am needed at camp, i am there. i give my 100% to what i do and keep my focus on the fact that i am serving the King and ultimately helping in furthering the Kingdom by sharing the Gospel with others and showing the Love i received many years ago that has changed my life. it has been awesome seeing God work through the ministries we have at camp, including summer camp, distributing thanksgiving food boxes, collecting Christmas gifts to children in conjunction with Angel Tree Ministries, hosting retreats, dinners, helping take care of our daycare, weight room, and keeping our facilities maintained clean and upkeep for those that come and stay for events. those are just a fraction of things we do.

how did i come to camp? after graduating from Temple University in the Spring of 2007 i decided to take the summer off to spend more time with our youth group at Berachah Church. the Summer of 2007 i helped with youth group events and went back to Camp Bethel with the group as a counselor and cabin leader. i had the opportunity to talk with Jeff Rolen our camp director, and he showed me everything that was in planning for camp. i was really excited to hear about everything that was coming for camp. camp is just one of those places you never want to leave. it’s a place where you can definitely feel the Spirit moving and see God working. through our talk i asked Jeff if there was need of staff and he said there was. by the end of our time, i decided that i wanted to come on staff…and the journey started from there.

before our group left from camp to head back to Philadelphia, i received a packet containing the application for staff. as soon as i got home i jumped one it and through a six month period i submitted my application, got accepted on staff and raised enough support to move down and start working. God has been AMAZING as He always is throughout all this. i have learned to depend on Him and allow Him to take control of all that i am involved with. it’s a privilege to be serving God in the field … even if it is in the United States, and not overseas, we have to reach all the people of the world! [matt 28:19-20]

so here i am! haha! enjoying life and enjoying it’s Creator! i am currently working with the Bible Correspondence program we have which gives kids a chance to lower the cost of coming to camp by enrolling in our Bible course geared for kids. we are also looking to start a high school Bible study study within the next year or so in which i will hold a service geared towards high school students in the area.

please keep our ministries in prayer … Tupos (our college ministry) – Rock House (our weight room) – Daycare – Hickory Hollow (second retreat property in Bristol, TN) – Facility Rentals – Summer Camp – Bible Correspondence Courses – and camp in general in it’s day to day operations.
